Amazon Luna and Warner Bros. have revealed Batman: Caped Crusader - Chronicles, set to launch on July 31 for Amazon Prime members through Luna's streaming game library at no extra cost. Luna will now be available on Prime Video for Fire TVs in the US and UK, allowing direct game streaming from these devices. Players can use a controller or smartphone for easy access via a single app. The co-op party game, set in the Caped Crusader continuity, supports up to four players who join a special Gotham City Police Department task force and Batman's inner circle. The game features 11 episodic missions with a mix of sleuthing and minigames, including appearances by Batman villains like Babyface, Scarecrow, Dollmaker, and the Joker. Hamish Linklater and Michelle C. Bonilla will reprise their roles as Batman and Montoya to connect the game with the animated series.
The first season of Batman: The Caped Crusader, launched in 2024, is a departure from typical Dark Knight shows as it's set in the 1940s with a film noir-inspired setting. Season One focused on a young Bruce Wayne establishing Batman's presence as a force for good, despite the GCPD's view of him as a dangerous vigilante. Season Two will introduce familiar foes like the Riddler, Mad Hatter, and the Joker for the first time, following teases from Season One. Alongside Amazon's game, other new Batman projects include the fighting game DCKO featuring DC Universe characters and a new Lego Batman game, offering fans unexpected delights and the long-awaited Arkham sequel.
