Netflix is working on a live-action series adaptation of Sega and Atlus' popular RPG franchise, Persona, as reported by Variety. Christopher Monfette, known for Star Trek: Picard and 9-1-1, will write and serve as executive producer and showrunner. Shawn Levy and Robert Atwood from 21 Laps, along with others, are also attached to the project.
The show's plot direction remains unknown, with the series having a rich history from its inception in 1996, including five mainline games and various spin-offs. Although details are scarce, fans are already speculating on potential story elements and characters that could feature in the adaptation.
Netflix, known for hits like Stranger Things, is collaborating with 21 Laps on this project. Story Kitchen, involved in video game adaptations, is also part of the production. While the live-action Persona TV show is still in its early stages, fans eagerly await further updates on casting and release dates.
