Mr. Records follows the story of George, an old man who runs a vinyl record shop and can transport himself to another world through music. Players manage the shop by day, matching music to customers, and at night, they embark on rhythmic adventures in a different realm. Featuring original compositions, the game offers a unique blend of gameplay elements inspired by Moonlighter, Rhythm Heaven, and Mixtape, focusing on the emotional connections music creates.
The game includes 45 original songs by composers Charles Bardin and Valentin Ducloux, known for their work on games like Headbangers: Rhythm Royale and A Musical Story. With a playtime of around four hours, Mr. Records promises musical journeys, store management, and immersive experiences in George's bedroom. Scheduled for a PC release in the first quarter of 2027, the game aims to provide replay value through different difficulty levels for its songs.
