The newly released Mortal Kombat 2 movie could have featured the character Tremor, with unique geokinetic powers, battling Sonya Blade.
The recently launched Mortal Kombat 2 film showcases various iconic characters from the game series, such as Johnny Cage, Kitana, Sonya Blade, and Shao Kahn. Screenwriter Jeremy Slater shared with GamesRadar that Tremor was almost part of the movie, intended to confront Sonya Blade before meeting his demise. Despite Tremor's intriguing abilities, including the control of rocks and metals through geokinetic powers, Slater explained that the character didn't fit well within the script and was consequently removed during development.
Expressing his fondness for Tremor, Slater acknowledged the character's entertaining and impressive capabilities. However, due to creative considerations, Tremor's appearance in the Mortal Kombat 2 movie was ultimately scrapped.
