Matt Damon's Almost Video Game Debut vs. Fortnite Appearance

This week, Fortnite is adding multiple skins based on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey film, including one of Matt Damon as Odysseus.

Fortnite is introducing skins from The Odyssey film, featuring Matt Damon as Odysseus. Interestingly, Damon was close to appearing in a video game much earlier. In 2008, The Bourne Conspiracy was set to have Damon reprise his role as Jason Bourne. However, Damon declined the offer due to wanting a more intellectual gaming experience, inspired by puzzle-adventure games like Myst.

Despite Damon's interest, the development team at High Moon Studios decided to move forward without his involvement. The game, which did feature Franka Potente reprising her role, was a mix of various gameplay elements but failed to excel in any particular area. While Damon missed out on the project, the Bourne movie series has been dormant since 2016's Jason Bourne release.
