Spider-Man: Brand New Day officially swings into theaters this week, and to celebrate the return of the webhead, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5 is getting a few upgrades.
Developer Insomniac has announced new updates for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5. The game will feature a new costume inspired by Tom Holland's Spider-Man, along with a cel-shaded suit and PS5 Pro enhancements. Additionally, a fresh costume for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to release next month, offering an anime-inspired design with vibrant colors and a larger spider emblem.
The Brand New Day costume in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 pays tribute to the classic comics and animated series, showcasing a simple texture and colors reminiscent of the beloved character. Both new costumes will be available for free download after an upcoming game update this week. Furthermore, the game will introduce Enhanced PSSR on PS5 Pro and a Power Saver mode, enhancing the overall gaming experience with improved visuals and performance.
While Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has received these exciting updates, the game will not have post-launch expansions like its predecessor. Instead, developer Insomniac Games has shifted focus to their Wolverine single-player game, set to launch on September 15 for PS5. Marvel's Wolverine promises a darker take on the iconic character, expanding on Insomniac's reimagining of Marvel Comics heroes.
