In just over a month, Marvel's most iconic superhero will be back in theaters in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But first, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be getting a free update that adds Peter Parker's latest cinematic outfit to the in-game collection of costumes.
Insomniac Games, the developer of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, announced on social media that the 'Fresh Start' suit will be included as a free update on July 28, just before the release of Brand New Day in theaters on July 31. This outfit, seen briefly in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, showcases Peter in a more comic-book-accurate attire after meeting his counterparts from another universe.
While there's no official confirmation yet on Tom Holland's return in Avengers: Doomsday later this year, it's highly likely that Spider-Man will make an appearance. Should he sport a new suit in the movie, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 might receive another update. Meanwhile, Insomniac Games is simultaneously working on Marvel's Wolverine, featuring the X-Men's beloved mutant in a setting where the team seems non-existent. The combat mechanics, including joint moves between Wolverine and Jean Grey, appear to draw inspiration from Insomniac's prior Spider-Man titles. Marvel's Wolverine is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on September 15.
