State of Play made its return today, and just as Sony promised, it kicked things off with a fresh--and brutal--look at Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac.
During the gameplay demo, game director Marcus Smith showcased Wolverine's mission to rescue kidnapped mutants from the Reavers, an extremist group. The footage featured intense combat scenes where Wolverine takes down enemies using his claws and is assisted by Jean Grey. The game aims to offer a mature and darker experience compared to Insomniac's Spider-Man titles, delving deep into Wolverine's character.
The trailer also revealed cybernetically enhanced enemies, such as the Reavers with prosthetic limbs and a leader with cyborg arms. Additionally, the game will include characters like Omega Red, Mystique, Sabretooth, and Ogun. Marvel's Wolverine is set to launch on September 15 for PS5, with a focus on delivering a visually stunning and action-packed gaming experience.
