Marvel's flagship The Amazing Spider-Man series is about to hit its 1000th issue, making it the first Marvel book to legitimately reach that milestone (sorry, Deadpool #1000, you don't count).
Marvel has unveiled a new slate of variant covers and details about the stories in The Amazing Spider-Man #1000, set to release in September 2026. The issue will feature a tale by Noah Hawley, creator of Fargo TV series. The main story by Joe Kelly, Pepe Larraz, and John Romita, Jr. promises to be a significant moment in Kelly's ongoing run.
Additionally, the comic will include four backup stories from different creative teams, such as Dan Slott and Marcos Martin revisiting Uncle Ben's death in “Now I Can Rest.” The issue, hitting stores on September 16, is available for pre-order at local comic shops.
