Marvel Comics Announces Eddie Brock's Return as Venom at Comic-Con

Eddie Brock may be separated from the Venom symbiote in Marvel's comic book universe, but don't expect that status quo to last much longer. Today at Comic-Con, Marvel announced that Eddie will become Venom again in a new ongoing series launching after the Queen in Black crossover wraps.

Marvel Comics revealed at the 'Next Big Thing' panel that a new series featuring Eddie Brock as Venom will be led by writer Charles Soule, artist Tommaso Bianchi, and cover artist Davide Paratore. The series will explore Eddie reuniting with the symbiote and his determination to be the ultimate host. The official summary for Venom #1 teases Eddie's return as Venom and his quest to prove himself as a hero.

This new series marks a full circle for Venom, as the symbiote returns to Eddie after passing through his son Dylan and Mary Jane Watson. Meanwhile, Mary Jane will star in her own series, 'Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane,' where she resumes her Hollywood career as a producer and faces off against the Chameleon. The series is penned by Ashley Allen and illustrated by Phil Noto.

Venom #1 is set to premiere in October 2026, followed by 'Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane' in November. Marvel also announced a series of crossover specials tied to Phillip Kennedy Johnson's Infernal Hulk series, such as Infernal Hulk vs. Wolverine, Infernal Hulk vs. Fantastic Four, Infernal Hulk vs. Spider-Man, and Infernal Hulk vs. Avengers, all leading to the Hulk War event.
