Lin-Manuel Miranda Reveals Turning Down MCU Spider-Man Role

Spider-Man: Homecoming almost starred Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who revealed he turned down the role of Spider-Man villain Vulture, ultimately played by Michael Keaton.

During the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Miranda shared that he felt he would have been miscast in the role. Despite being impressed with the movie's plot, Miranda had to decline the role due to timing conflicts with his Broadway show Hamilton. He expressed no regrets, acknowledging that Michael Keaton was the perfect fit for the role.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, released in 2017, marked Tom Holland's debut as Spider-Man and was a significant success for Marvel. As Holland's fourth Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, hits theaters, Miranda's future involvement in the MCU remains uncertain.
