A fresh LEGO leak has revealed a $200 Donkey Kong Arcade Cabinet, reportedly due for release next month.
An image posted to the r/Legoleak subreddit shows the detailed arcade machine set, complete with Donkey Kong, Jumpman (AKA Mario), and a captive Princess Peach in their familiar positions. The set, containing 1,367 pieces, features several buttons, an arcade stick at the base, and red 'DONKEY KONG' letters on top. It is designed for ages 18+ and is expected to launch on August 1.
While additional images of the set are awaited, it appears to offer interactivity, possibly akin to the retro Super Mario NES set. Fans speculate that dials or buttons could enable actions like making Jumpman jump or moving barrels in the levels. LEGO enthusiasts can also anticipate upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets in October, with builds like Munchlax, Arcanine, and Rayquaza, along with a Poké Ball set featuring Red and Professor Oak minifigures.
Furthermore, LEGO seems poised to unveil a version of the popular simulation game Cities: Skylines. A LEGO Skylines listing recently emerged through a ratings board filing, hinting at a potential release in the future.
