Langrisser: Sea of Sword Announced for Global Release

Developer BlackJack Studio revealed the next game in the long-running Langrisser RPG franchise with a debut teaser trailer on Thursday.

BlackJack Studio unveiled Langrisser: Sea of Sword, the latest installment in the 35-year-old Langrisser series, through a teaser trailer. This new entry, set for global release on iOS, Android, Steam, and PC, signifies a significant advancement for the franchise. Departing from its traditional bright and heroic themes, Sea of Sword delves into a darker narrative, focusing on factional conflicts and power struggles with national consequences. Players will assume the role of a protagonist striving to recover lost memories while journeying through a continent enveloped in the Sea of Mists.

The game's soundtrack, crafted by acclaimed RPG composer Yasunori Nishiki, known for his work on Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy VII Remake, adds depth to the immersive experience. BlackJack Studio, the same team behind Langrisser Mobile, is leading the development, promising enhanced graphics while retaining the beloved hand-painted anime art style.
