Kratos’ Next God Of War Game Continues Laufey's Story

Kratos' story isn't over yet, as God of War developer Sony Santa Monica announced a new game featuring the main character following the launch of God of War Laufey in February 2027.

Sony Santa Monica revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that a new Kratos-led game is in the works, directly connected to the upcoming God of War adventure starring his deceased wife, Faye. Cory Barlog, head of creative at Santa Monica Studio, mentioned that the new game will build upon the existing narrative and expand the universe further. While details about the new God of War installment are scarce, the studio is enthusiastic about the future of the franchise.

In addition to the recent release of Sons of Sparta, a spin-off title, fans can anticipate the launch of God of War Laufey next year, exploring Faye's story in the afterlife. Furthermore, a remake of the original God of War trilogy is currently in progress. The focus remains on God of War Laufey for now, with more updates expected in the near future.
