Iron Lung to Premiere on YouTube This Month

Iron Lung, the debut feature film from successful YouTuber Mark Fischbach, will be available to watch on YouTube from May 31, reports Deadline.

Mark Fischbach, known as Markiplier on YouTube, announced the premiere date of his film during a panel at Cannes. The movie, written, directed, and edited by Fischbach, will be exclusively on YouTube. Iron Lung, based on a 2022 video game by David Szymanski, tells the story of a convict trapped in a submarine navigating through blood on a desolate moon after a cosmic event. Despite mixed reviews, the film was a financial success, grossing over $50 million on a $3 million budget.

IGN's review highlighted Fischbach's passion for the project but criticized the pacing. The film was released in cinemas in January before its upcoming YouTube debut.
