Sarnoski discussed the transition from superhero action to a more raw and desperate portrayal of an aging hero. The film aims to showcase the internal struggles and complexities of Robin Hood's character, balancing brutality with warmth and intelligence.

The Death of Robin Hood is scheduled to premiere on June 19, 2026. Sarnoski also hinted at his next project, Death Stranding, and shared updates on the script's progress and collaboration with Hideo Kojima.
