IGN had a chance to go hands-on with a preview sample to see whether this cardboard adaptation could capture the thrill of the video games. Published by Mood Publishing, Hitman: The Board Game pits up to four players against one another in a race to see who can take out the target first. The gameplay involves legal and illegal actions, with players strategically navigating the map to complete missions while avoiding suspicion.
The sample box offers a glimpse into the full game, with rules and components still in progress. Players can choose from different contracts and locations, each with unique challenges and objectives. Mood seems to have successfully incorporated classic Hitman elements like disguises, traps, and distractions into the board game experience.
