Writer-director Hideo Kojima, known for Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, shared his unique desire for his death during a recent event.

Hideo Kojima expressed his wish to pass away in a movie theater, specifically during the anticipation before a film begins. This revelation may not be shocking considering Kojima's deep passion for cinema. Described as a game creator whose essence is 70% movies, he often provides concise movie reviews and engages actively in the film industry. Kojima's circle includes renowned Hollywood directors such as Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn, with his upcoming horror game OD involving Jordan Peele.

Although approached to direct the Death Stranding movie, Kojima declined, fearing he would offer too many suggestions. As a result, Michael Sarnoski has taken the helm for the film adaptation.
