Arrowhead has launched a major update for Helldivers 2, labeled patch 6.3.0, which includes new Galactic campaigns, a fresh biome, and a Control Center terminal. This update also brings adjustments to weapon, stratagem, and enemy balance, such as reducing enemy durable damage and decreasing exosuit cooldowns.
The new Control Center terminal, located opposite the armory, provides players with additional context on ongoing Campaigns and Major Orders. Each Campaign now offers its potential reward if Helldivers emerge victorious in a majority of the Major Orders. Moreover, the terminal features an archive detailing past campaign events for both new and returning players.
Game director Mikael Eriksson described Galactic War Campaigns as the next step in Major Orders' evolution, with each campaign lasting 1-3 weeks. The goal is to ensure clarity on the active Campaign's progress, outcomes, and stakes for players. The update does not include the anticipated roguelite systems or the Personal Campaign Progression system but introduces significant balance changes, like improved reloading mechanics and uninterrupted stimming.
