Helldivers 2's Next Legendary Warbond Features Warhammer 40K Theme

Helldivers 2's next Legendary Warbond will bring the grim-dark future of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe to developer Arrowhead's co-op shooter.

The announcement was made during the Warhammer Skulls presentation, where Helldivers 2 director Mikael Eriksson confirmed the collaboration. This will be the third IP crossover for Helldivers 2, following crossovers with Killzone and Halo: ODST franchises. While the exact release date for the new Warbond remains unspecified, Eriksson mentioned it would be launched 'later this year'.

Although players shouldn't anticipate the appearance of 40K's Space Marines, the collaboration is expected to involve Warhammer 40K's Astra Militarum faction. The aim is to ensure that crossovers in Helldivers 2 remain coherent and closely aligned with the respective IPs, as emphasized by former Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt.

Helldivers 2's recent Warbond introduced new Exosuits and significant balance adjustments. The game's development team is actively addressing player feedback and working on enhancing the Galactic War's meta-progression, aiming to engage more effectively with the player community.
