As the fight for Managed Democracy rages on, Arrowhead has just dropped a new Helldivers 2 patch that makes some long-awaited improvements to performance.
Arrowhead released patch 6.2.5 for Helldivers 2, bringing upscaling technologies, latency-reduction features, and various optimizations. Developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software, the update includes support for upscalers like FSR 3.1.5, DLSS 4.5, and XeSS 3.0, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support for PS5 and PS5 Pro, and Variable Rate Shading (VRS) for compatible devices. Additionally, the patch addresses issues such as manual climbing, performance improvements, and the addition of NVIDIA's Reflex and AMD's Anti-Lag 2.
The update also resolves problems with vaulting in Helldivers 2 and sets the stage for a Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond crossover later this year. Game director Mikael Eriksson expressed excitement for the collaboration, stating that the two worlds complement each other perfectly.
