Helldivers 2 Introduces Warhammer 40K Weapons in New Warbond

Helldivers 2 players will soon be able to dish out death to Super Earth enemies with Warhammer 40K weapons like the Meltagun, Bolt Pistol, and more.

Games Workshop's grimdark Warhammer 40K universe is crossing over to Arrowhead Studios' popular shooter on August 12 through a Legendary Warbond. Unlike the iconic Space Marines, the Astra Militarum faction takes the spotlight with two armor sets: the heavy-armor Demo Trooper and the medium-armor Sharpshooter. Both sets provide the True Grit passive, enhancing ergonomics and reload speed for Stratagem weapons.

The Warbond also introduces various Warhammer 40K weapons, such as the powerful Meltagun support weapon, Meltamines, a Bolt Pistol secondary, and a Lasgun Marksman Rifle primary. While lacking some iconic 40K weapons like bolters and chainswords, the new arsenal promises efficient ways to deal with enemies. The trailer showcases the Hot Shot Marksman rifle's piercing shots and the destructive capabilities of the Meltagun and Meltamine against vehicles and heavily armored foes.

Although the Warbond may not feature all classic 40K weapons, the vast universe offers potential for future crossovers. For now, players can enjoy battling Automatons with the Meltagun and eliminating Terminids with the Bolt Pistol, hoping for more Warhammer 40K additions in the future.
