Microsoft confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved, a campaign-only remake of the original Halo game, will release in late July. The game will have two special editions, one digital with in-game items, and the other a physical collector's edition. The collector's edition features in-game items, a Master Chief statue, a steelbook, art prints, and a reimagined version of the original game's manual.
While game manuals have become rare, this collector's edition brings back the detailed manual concept. Xbox includes a disc in the physical version for Xbox or PS5 buyers. However, a download will still be required for the full game. Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on July 28th for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, with early access for premium and collector's edition owners.
A new trailer was released, captured on PS5 Pro, sparking discussion around Xbox's messaging on exclusives and console power. This release aims to satisfy physical media enthusiasts and includes nostalgic elements from gaming's past.
