GTA 5 Free Upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Owners

Ahead of GTA 6's release in November, Rockstar Games has announced a free upgrade for owners of the digital copy of GTA 5 on PS4 or Xbox One to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version.

Rockstar Games has revealed that owners of the digital version of GTA 5 on PS4 or Xbox One will receive a free upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version. Normally priced at $40, these native versions offer improved graphics and faster loading times. The offer begins on June 18, according to Rockstar. This promotion precedes the launch of GTA Online's upcoming major update, The Kortz Center Heist, scheduled for July. The heist involves multiple stages where players will infiltrate The Kortz Center to steal valuable artworks. Rockstar teased the heist as a chance to profit from the gallery's esteemed collection. While details on the expansion are scarce for now, Rockstar promised to reveal more information in the coming weeks. GTA 5 and GTA Online have enjoyed immense success, with GTA 5 surpassing 230 million copies sold and GTA Online maintaining its popularity through regular updates. GTA 6 is set to release on November 19, with Take-Two's CEO reaffirming the release date and elaborating on the reasons for the game's prolonged development.
