Grand Theft Auto 6 Physical Copies to Include Only a Code in a Box

Rockstar will sell physical copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 — though you'll only get a box containing a digital download code.

This morning, Rockstar announced the commencement of GTA 6 pre-orders at midnight with various options available. Alongside a digital pre-order, fans can purchase GTA 6 in a box without a disc. Physical copies will be available from November 12, ahead of the game's launch on November 19, allowing pre-loading from the earlier date.

While disc-less physical copies have become more common, it's noteworthy that a major mass-market game like GTA 6 is abandoning physical media. The GTA 6 Ultimate Edition will offer exclusive content like vehicles, weapons, outfits, and additional locations, nudging fans towards the $100 price point. The game is set to release in November with a confirmed date, pre-orders open, and a special edition revealed.

Those purchasing before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, but physical edition buyers should note that it's only guaranteed while supplies last. Digital pre-orders come with a free month of GTA+.
