With Rockstar's GTA 6 set to "blot out the sun" when it arrives on November 19, numerous developers are purposefully avoiding releasing their games near it.
In a move to steer clear of GTA 6's release, a remaster of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is reportedly launching on November 3. The 2002 GameCube title is being revived by Atari for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, with Pipeworks as the original developer. The remaster will feature new online multiplayer, enhanced graphics, and various updates. Additionally, Devolver is planning to release a new game alongside GTA 6.
While many developers are avoiding November 2026 due to GTA 6, September 2026 is shaping up to be a packed month for game releases. Notable titles scheduled for September include The Blood of Dawnwalker, Marvel's Wolverine, Control Resonant, Silent Hill Townfall, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, and Dune Awakening for console. Modern Warfare 4 is set to launch on October 23, but the Fable reboot has been delayed to February 2027 to ensure a successful release, with concerns raised about proximity to GTA 6.
