Garfield Kart's official account took a shot at Mario Kart, claiming superiority due to not randomly revoking game licenses. Despite being less popular, both franchises have a connection through Chris Pratt, who voices Mario and Garfield in recent films. Mario Kart Tour will shut down on September 29, ending Nintendo's mobile push that also saw other game closures like Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes. Mario Kart World remains a top-selling Switch game, recently updating with new Knockout Tour routes and more planned for the future.
