GameStop is set to discontinue the earning of Pro Points for new Pro members starting on July 15, with current members facing the same fate on August 15. Previously, members could earn around 2% of their purchases in points for future redemptions. Some GameStop employees on Reddit are criticizing the decision, suggesting a halt to upselling Pro Memberships. Despite the backlash, GameStop's CEO, Ryan Cohen, is still pursuing plans to acquire eBay, which eBay has rejected as lacking credibility and appeal.
