Gamers React to GTA 6 Price Announcement

Rockstar Games confirmed the price of Grand Theft Auto 6: A trip to Vice City will cost you $80 for the standard version of the game and $100 for the Ultimate Edition.

Rockstar Games has revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be priced at $80 for the standard version and $100 for the Ultimate Edition. Preorders for the highly anticipated game will begin on June 25 at midnight local time. However, the pricing has sparked discussions online, with many expressing concerns over the high cost. Some gamers are unhappy that the physical edition of GTA 6 only contains a download code in a box.

Industry observers, such as journalist Imran Khan, have noted that the price increase was somewhat expected. Despite this, the continuous rise in game costs has disappointed many gaming enthusiasts. Criticism has also been directed at the Ultimate Edition, with some arguing that features exclusive to this version should have been included in the base game.

For those uninterested in GTA 6, the $80 price tag and surrounding controversies serve as further reasons to avoid purchasing the game. Some social media users have even humorously compared GTA 6 to other upcoming titles, highlighting the debate around its value proposition. Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on November 19, with pre-loads beginning on November 12. Physical copies containing download codes will also be available on the release date to allow players to preload the game before its official launch.
