Game of Thrones: The Mad King Reveals Full Stage Cast

The first photo and full cast for Game of Thrones: The Mad King was revealed Saturday by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The prequel stage show, Game of Thrones: The Mad King, adapted from George R. R. Martin’s works and directed by Dominic Cooke, will open on August 8 at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in England. The production marks the 30th anniversary of the original publication of A Game of Thrones.

The play spans the final years before the events of the novels, shedding light on a legendary chapter of Westerosi history. The cast includes actors portraying iconic characters like King Aerys II Targaryen, Lyanna Stark, and Eddard Stark.

The production team consists of talented individuals such as Set Designer Chloe Lamford, Costume Designer Georgia McGuinness, and Composer Will Stuart. Co-produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and HBO, Game of Thrones: The Mad King promises to bring the epic tale to life on stage.
