Forza Horizon 6 developer Playground Games is following through on its threat after the game was leaked online ahead of the official release date, with one pirate reporting a hardware ban until the year 10,000.
Playground Games, the developer behind Forza Horizon 6, is taking action against individuals who accessed the leaked build of the game, including imposing franchise-wide and hardware bans. The leaked files, which appeared on SteamDB before the official release, led to gameplay footage surfacing on various platforms.
Despite efforts to remove leaked content, the pirate responsible for the initial leak remains defiant, continuing to share gameplay videos. Playground Games and Microsoft have not clarified the cause of the leak, while SteamDB distanced itself from the incident, attributing it to someone with early access to the game.
Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for release on May 19, with early access beginning on May 15. The game's popularity remains high, evident from its strong sales performance on Steam despite the leak.
