First Chance to Play The Duskbloods Early Next Month

From Software's upcoming game The Duskbloods will have a closed network test in August, offering players a chance to try it before the official launch.

The closed network test for The Duskbloods is scheduled to take place from August 21-23, featuring support for eight-player multiplayer sessions. Interested players can apply for participation from July 22-28, with the requirement of owning a Nintendo Switch 2 system and an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

From Software has outlined that the focus of the closed network test will be on server load, multiplayer functionality, and game balance. While it's unclear how much of the game will be accessible during the test, this presents a unique opportunity to explore the multiplayer aspects of The Duskbloods, a departure from From Software's usual single-player RPGs. The game is set to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, offering a different experience from titles like Bloodborne due to its multiplayer emphasis.
