Final Fantasy 14 Coming to Switch 2 Requires Massive Storage Space

One of the biggest MMOs of all time, Final Fantasy 14, is coming to Switch 2 next month, and you're going to want to clear a lot of space to install the game.

Final Fantasy 14 will take up 117.2GB of available storage capacity on the Switch 2, almost half of the handheld's built-in SSD. The game includes the base game and its five expansions, offering new stories, classes, and activities within the world of Eorzea. Square Enix games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth also have large install sizes on the Switch 2, emphasizing the need for additional storage solutions like microSD Express cards.

Due to global NAND flash shortages and increased demand, prices for storage solutions like microSD cards have significantly risen. Other components like RAM, SSDs, and GPUs for PCs and consoles have also become more expensive, with forecasts of further price increases in the future.
