Bethesda will introduce Fallout 76 to the latest consoles starting with a public testing phase this month. Players who own Fallout 76 will be able to access the test versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official update is scheduled for release later this summer after the testing phase concludes. The enhanced version of Fallout 76 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will include various upgrades such as targeted 60fps on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PS5 Pro, improved draw distances, enhanced shadows, and 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, and PS5 Pro. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) will be available on compatible displays for Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro. PS5 and PS4 Pro will support 1440p resolution, while older platforms will maintain 1080p support.
Bethesda is not only focusing on Fallout 76 updates but is also actively developing Fallout 5, although a release date has not been specified. Additionally, the Fallout TV series is progressing, with its third season currently in production and anticipated to premiere in 2027.
