Fallout 5 Confirmed Along with Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters

Fallout 5 is in the works, along with remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, as confirmed by Bethesda.

Bethesda re-confirmed the development of Fallout 5 and officially announced remasters for Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. These projects are being worked on alongside Obsidian's new Fallout game, indicating a significant number of Fallout titles in the pipeline. While Fallout 5 has been a long-discussed project, Bethesda revealed that the game has now entered pre-production.

Bethesda emphasized that Fallout remains a top priority for the studio, with multiple Fallout projects currently in active development. The company acknowledged the demand from players to revisit previous Fallout titles, leading to the remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Additionally, Bethesda disclosed that Obsidian Entertainment, the developer behind New Vegas, is collaborating on a new Fallout project.

Updates on other Fallout titles were also provided, including the milestone of 35 million copies sold for Fallout 4 and 250 million players for the mobile game Fallout Shelter. The Fallout Shelter franchise is expanding with the introduction of a reality TV show. Furthermore, Fallout 76 is set to receive a significant expansion in 2027 named Raven Rock, serving as a prequel to Fallout 3. Bethesda hinted at special celebrations for Fallout's 30th anniversary in 2027, with live events planned in Washington, D.C.
