Microsoft and Playground Games have revealed the preorder bonuses for the upcoming Fable reboot, with one of the perks being a chicken suit, a nod to the franchise's well-known obsession with chickens. The costume, described as 'legendary,' features a beak, feathers, and 'questionable dignity.' Alongside the chicken suit, players who preorder Fable will receive items like the Wild Flower Bouquet for romantic interactions, a toy chicken, and a picnic hamper.

Director Ralph Fulton shared that players will be able to shape their Hero's reputation by utilizing these items strategically, influencing how they are perceived and the relationships they can unlock. Additionally, the game will allow players to kick chickens, leading to the development of a reputation as a 'Chicken Chaser' among NPCs. Fulton emphasized that the perception of this action varies among characters based on their individual perspectives.

Furthermore, the Fable reboot will introduce formidable chicken enemies for players to combat, adding a new layer of challenge to the game. The release date for Fable is set for February 23, 2027, with early access granted to premium edition buyers five days prior. A post-launch story expansion named Order of the Hero has also been confirmed.
