EA Introduces Auto-Save and Memory Boost Features to Enhance The Sims

EA has just given The Sims 4 players a look at the next item on its laundry list of upcoming bug-fixes and game improvements: making sure the game actually saves correctly.

EA has announced upcoming enhancements for The Sims 4, including an auto-save feature and save reminders to prevent progress loss due to crashes or corrupted files. The auto-save function, a long-awaited addition, will allow players to customize saving frequency. Save reminders will prompt players to save their games. The new Memory Boost feature, part of a free base game patch arriving on July 21, aims to improve memory management for smoother gameplay, reduced lag, and shorter loading times. While not a dedicated save-fixing tool, Memory Boost can mitigate some memory-related save issues.

The patch is part of EA's efforts to address long-standing problems in The Sims 4. The company is also planning a major update for September, focusing on enhancing Sims' autonomous behavior to make them more intelligent and responsive during gameplay.
