Destiny and Warframe Fans Unite in Saying Goodbye

As the friendly rivalry between Destiny and Warframe players comes to an end, both communities are trying to find the best way to say goodbye.

The rivalry between Destiny and Warframe began when Warframe was launched for PC in March 2013, followed by console ports in November of the same year, while Bungie released the original Destiny in September 2014. Despite their differences, both games have kept fans engaged for nearly 12 years. However, Bungie recently announced that Destiny 2 will receive its final major content update on June 9, marking the end of an era for many players.

Following the news of Destiny's impending end, the Warframe community has shown unexpected support, offering condolences and comfort to Destiny players. Despite past rivalries, the two communities are coming together as Destiny fans face the conclusion of their beloved game. While some players remain hesitant to embrace the other game, the majority are focusing on positivity and mutual respect.

As Destiny 2 approaches its final chapter, members from both communities are sharing sentiments of appreciation and farewell. Warframe's creative director, Rebecca Ford, expressed gratitude for Bungie's influence on the gaming industry, emphasizing the impact of Destiny on Warframe's development. The end of Destiny marks a significant moment for many players, prompting reflections on the legacy of both games and the future of the gaming community.
