Dead or Alive 6 Last Round launched on June 24 and is already receiving negative reviews on Steam for a lack of new content and for making players pay more for DLC they previously bought.

Players of Dead or Alive 6 Last Round are expressing disappointment over the need to repurchase DLC they already own. While most DLC from the original version can be transferred to the new Last Round edition, the $40 version fails to support previous purchases of The King of Fighters crossover characters. This means that players who bought Mai Shiranui or Kula Diamond for $8 each, along with their DLC costume packs, must buy them again. Adding to the frustration, Koei Tecmo has raised the prices for these characters and their costumes.
