Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Fall 2026 Release and New Characters Revealed

Netflix has revealed first character details and a fall release window for its anime sequel series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.

Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger shared details about the new characters joining Season 2 of the Cyberpunk 2077 anime spin-off. The series is set for a fall 2026 release, with the introduction of four new characters: Weak Kingsley, D, Roman Carax, and Talia Yang. These characters were showcased on the first poster for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.

Descriptions of the new characters were unveiled, including Weak Kingsley, a veteran Edgerunner; D, a Netrunner seeking revenge; Roman Carax, a cinephile in search of real stories; and Talia Yang, with corpo and Maelstrom connections. The show is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Kanno Ichigo, and writers Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka are returning for the sequel.

The official description of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 teases a standalone 10-episode story focusing on redemption and revenge in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. A new teaser trailer is set to be released soon, building anticipation for the upcoming series.
