Pearl Abyss, the developer of Crimson Desert, has reported that the game generated an impressive $180 million in revenue. This figure surpasses the $40 million earned by Black Desert Online in the same quarter. The company plans to maintain the game's success through continuous updates and expansion across different platforms.
Despite being on the market for only two months, Crimson Desert has already sold 5 million units on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. While sales are expected to taper off, Pearl Abyss remains optimistic about the game's performance for the rest of the year. The studio is also working on other projects like DokeV and Plan 8, with a goal of releasing a new game every two to three years.
