Controversial Uwe Boll revenge movie Citizen Vigilante is getting an official PS5 game, seemingly made by a solo developer.

Boll's movie Citizen Vigilante, which premiered last month, has received negative reviews. The game is set to launch on PS5 via the PlayStation Store next week. Screenshots reveal a basic first-person shooter with dated graphics reminiscent of a PS2 game.

The game promises a single-player story-driven experience, described as the official game based on Uwe Boll's film. It boasts brutal action combat, violent gameplay with gore, and dismemberment. The developer behind the game, Daniel Wengenroth, is known for creating various simulation and shooter games available on the PlayStation Store.

Despite the tie-in, details about Boll's involvement in the game remain unclear. Notably, there is no indication of Armie Hammer's character from the film being included in the game. IGN has reached out to Wengenroth for further information.
