Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Visual Enhancements Revealed for PS5

Another year, another Call of Duty, with this year's entry featuring Infinity Ward as the lead developer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will once again be available across various platforms. Sony hinted that the game will likely look best on its pricey PS5 Pro console due to the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upgrade. The game will support enhanced graphics quality at 120Hz and 60Hz, with an unlocked framerate when VRR and 120Hz are combined. Both the PS5 Pro and base PS5 will run the game at 4K, but it's unclear if the resolution is upscaled. Despite offering top-notch visuals, the PS5 Pro comes with a hefty $900 price tag, making it the most expensive home console of this generation.

Recent months have seen more games utilizing the PS5 Pro and PSSR 2.0 for improved graphics. Games like Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have showcased these enhancements. Ubisoft also detailed additional features for players enjoying Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on the console. Activision teased the ambitious new Kill Block map for Modern Warfare 4 ahead of its October 23 launch. The map combines elements from various popular Call of Duty maps to create a unique arena. More details on Modern Warfare 4 will be unveiled at Fanatics Fest this weekend, with Infinity Ward's Mark Grigsby, Activision's Tyler Bahl, Obsession's Inde Navarrette, and NBA's Kevin Durant participating in a panel discussion.
