Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Early Campaign Access Rumors

This year’s Call of Duty release, Modern Warfare 4, may offer players early access to its campaign mode, according to reports.

This year’s annual Call of Duty release, Modern Warfare 4, is scheduled for release in a few months. Recent reports suggest that players might have the opportunity to begin the campaign mode early. CharlieIntel, a well-known Call of Duty news site, shared a screenshot of a 'Campaign Early Access' pass on Xbox, hinting at various packs available for installation. Despite this, the official store page for Modern Warfare 4 on Xbox does not mention this pass. Instead, it highlights that players who pre-order the digital version will gain early access to the open beta. This wouldn't be the first time early campaign access has been offered for a Call of Duty game, as Modern Warfare 2 had a similar program in 2022.

New details about Modern Warfare 4 are slowly emerging, with developer Infinity Ward focusing on putting players in the shoes of ordinary soldiers rather than larger-than-life action heroes seen in recent titles. Infinity Ward has outlined significant improvements and quality-of-life changes for MW4, particularly in movement and gunplay. The game will no longer feature Black Ops 7’s omnimovement, and the Prestige system is undergoing a major overhaul. Among the cast members announced for MW4 are Luke Tennie from Shrinking and Young Mazino from The Last of Us, playing leading roles as Lieutenant Wet and Private Park, respectively. Supporting performances will be delivered by Prisca Kim, Lanny Joon, William Lipton, and Barry Sloane reprising his role as Price.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to launch on October 23 for Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Preorders are currently available, and unlike Black Ops 7, MW4 will not be immediately available on Game Pass. Infinity Ward has also confirmed that MW4 will run smoothly on Switch 2.
