Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 Fans Concerned Over Potential Pricey

PlayStation fans are fearing the worst after Microsoft set the price of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 at $40 without DLC.

As reported by CharlieIntel, recent updates in the PC and Xbox marketplaces revealed new DLC prices for the 2010 and 2012 Call of Duty games, priced at $39.99 each. While Black Ops 1 and 2 have been available on Xbox consoles due to backward compatibility, the individual DLCs now cost $10 instead of $15, and season passes are priced at $30 instead of $50.

Activision's plans to launch non-remastered ports of the classic Treyarch games for PS4 and PS5 in July have left PlayStation fans anxious, as the Xbox listings hint at potentially high prices for the decade-old games.

If the prices from the Microsoft Store transfer to the PlayStation ports, players may need to pay $80 for both games and $140 for the full package with season passes. The lack of clarity from Activision regarding pricing and content has stirred frustration among fans.

IGN's reviews of the original Black Ops and its sequel praised the games, which are highly anticipated as players await the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 next month. The ports are expected to launch soon, although a specific date has not been confirmed.
