Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Season 4 has brought a new limited-time playlist called Black Ops Classic, offering a throwback to the classic gameplay of older titles in the series. This mode removes advanced movement mechanics like omnimovement, sliding, and wall-tap, focusing on tactical gameplay and map positioning reminiscent of Black Ops 2. The playlist features iconic maps such as Firing Range, Nuketown, and Hijacked, along with staple game modes like Domination and Team Deathmatch.
Players have expressed great enthusiasm for Black Ops Classic, with many calling for its permanent inclusion in the game. Some are already requesting a similar classic mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. However, Modern Warfare 4 will feature a different movement system, maintaining a boots-on-the-ground approach with refined parkour-style mechanics, including sliding and mantling. The full release of Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for October 23 on various platforms, with preorders currently available for standard and Vault editions.
