Bethesda Confirms New Starfield Content in 2027

As part of Bethesda's big announcements today about its future and what's coming next, the company also gave an update on Starfield.

Bethesda confirmed that Starfield remains a crucial part of its future plans, with new content set to arrive in 2027. Since its release in September 2023, the game has seen continuous updates and expansions, including the recent Starborn content. Despite reaching over 17 million players, the availability on Xbox Game Pass has impacted actual sales figures.

Recent expansions like Shattered Space in 2024 and the PS5 release in 2026 have kept the game fresh, with updates such as Free Lanes and the Terran Armada expansion enhancing the gameplay experience. Bethesda also shared updates on other projects, including Fallout 5 entering pre-production and plans for remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The Elder Scrolls 6 is progressing as planned, with the studio expressing satisfaction with its development progress and gameplay.

These announcements come amidst significant changes at Bethesda's parent company, Xbox, with recent layoffs and plans to divest studios as part of a business reset.
