Battlefield Studios has shared details about the upcoming Season 4 of Battlefield 6, introducing naval warfare, new maps, and a highly-requested feature. The long-awaited in-game proximity feature for Battlefield 6 and Redsec battle royale is set to arrive 'late' in Season 4, aiming to enhance communication and tension among squads. In addition to naval warfare with drivable boats, Season 4 will include the Tsuru Reef map and the return of Battlefield 5's Wake Island map, tailored for modern gameplay while retaining its classic appeal.
Players eagerly awaiting the server browser feature for Battlefield 6 will need to exercise patience, as its release is now confirmed for the Season 5 update, scheduled for fall. This feature, a staple in previous Battlefield titles, allows players to access persistent servers for a more customized gaming experience. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6's current Season 3 has been well-received, with new weapons, attachments, and a revamped Golmud Railway map from Battlefield 4. The upcoming Blastpoint update will mark the second phase of Season 3 content.
