Battlefield 6's upcoming update, 1.4.1.0, set to release on July 21, will bring Season 4: Pacific Front and a naval warfare system. This update marks the return of a feature last seen in 2005's Battlefield 2 - two-seater, fixed-wing jets. The Season 4 announcement trailer hints at a Top Gun crossover, evident from the use of Harold Faltermeyer's Top Gun music and imagery.
Season 4 will include a new map, Tsuru Reef, set in a vast Pacific archipelago offering land, naval, and air combat options. Naval combat is a key addition, featuring a wave system that affects visibility and gameplay dynamics. Additionally, the fan-favorite Wake Island map is making a comeback in Season 4, alongside new vehicles like the RCV-90 patrol boat and the NSW RHIB. New weapons such as the BROD 3, EF88, and VSMM will also be introduced, along with various attachments. The update is scheduled to launch on July 21.
