Backrooms Director Kane Parsons Investigates A24 Copyright Strikes

Kane Parsons has promised Backrooms fans that he’s investigating copyright strikes supposedly sent from A24 to content creators over artwork inspired by the creepypasta-turned-blockbuster.

Kane Parsons has reassured Backrooms fans that he is looking into the copyright strikes reportedly issued by A24 to content creators for artwork inspired by the popular creepypasta. The issue arose when Redbubble users received takedown notices for their Backrooms-inspired pieces, with one user's wallpaper design and another's hallway and office space images being targeted. An indie developer also faced a takedown of their Backrooms game on Google Play for allegedly impersonating 'The Backrooms' brand.

Parsons responded to the situation on Reddit, stating that he is investigating the matter and acknowledging that such actions should not be taking place. Speculation among fans suggests that A24 may be using automated systems for these takedowns, causing concern within the community about future adaptations of creepypastas like SCP Foundation and Sirenhead.
